Free webinar -
German Ports for Freight Forwarders, Logistics Providers and Trucking Companies
| 16 March 2026 2-3 PM
We invite all freight forwarders, logistics providers and trucking companies to join our free webinar on 16 March 2026 from 14:00 to 15:00.
In line with legal requirements, German Ports will soon launch Stage 2 of the Secure Release Order as planned. The objective is to further optimise container pick-up processes in the German Sea ports and make them even more secure for all parties involved. The introduction of Stage 2 will take place site by site. The respective start dates for each port are published on the German Ports website.
What's new?
With the start of Stage 2, an additional check will be carried out during container pick-up. It will be verified whether the collecting company - i.e., the company performing the transport - holds a valid pick-up right in German Ports. Without such authorisation, container pick-up will no longer be possible in the future.
Upon arrival at the terminal, the driver will continue to be identified via the respective IDP system (e.g., ImpalaID, CONROO or Passify). In addition, the terminal will check whether the company assigned to the driver currently holds a valid pick-up right in German Ports.
What do you need to do?
To ensure a smooth process, please make sure that drivers are correctly registered in the IDP systems used and clearly assigned to one or more companies.
Furthermore, each participating company must be registered in German Ports.
Please also ensure that all existing legacy codes (TR02, CODIS and CARCO) are fully and correctly stored in your German Ports account. Only then can your processes continue without interruption.
We recommend reviewing your internal procedures at an early stage and ensuring that pick-up rights are correctly transferred and drivers are assigned to the appropriate companies.
