In accordance with the legal requirements, German Ports will shortly be launching stage 2 of the Secure Release Order as planned, with the aim of further optimising container collection in the German seaports for all parties involved in the process and making it even more secure. The introduction of stage 2 is location-dependent. The respective start dates for the individual ports will be published promptly on the German Ports website.

In the webinar, we will show what will change for our UNIKAT GE customers with German Ports, Level 2 and what advantages will result, including the display of collection rights directly in UNIKAT GE.

What's new?
With the start of level 2, an additional check will be carried out during container collection to determine whether the collecting company - i.e. the company carrying out the transport - has a valid collection authorisation in German Ports. Without a corresponding pick-up authorisation, pick-up will no longer be possible in future. Upon arrival at the terminal, the driver will be identified via the respective IDP system (e.g. ImpalaID, CONROO or Passify) as before. In addition, the terminal checks whether the company assigned to the driver currently has a valid pick-up authorisation in German Ports.

What do you need to do?
To ensure a smooth process, it must be ensured that the drivers are correctly registered in the IDP systems used and assigned to their company. In addition, each participating company must be registered in German Ports. Please also ensure that the existing legacy code (UNIKAT participant code (as TRUCO code)) is correctly stored and confirmed in your German Ports account. Only then can your processes continue without interruption.
