We invite all freight forwarders, logistics companies, haulage companies and RUs/rail operators involved in collection processes at German seaports to a free webinar on 19 November 2025 from 13:30 - 14:30 to provide information on the status of the introduction of the German Ports Secure Release Order. Practical tips on operations will also be provided.

After the shipping companies went live in several stages from 1 October 2025, the first terminals are currently starting operations in German Ports. German Ports aims both to secure and digitalise the release process and to meet the new regulatory requirements in the Port Security Act. This ensures that it is always possible to transparently trace which party is authorised to dispose of the container from the time the container arrives at the port on the seaside until it is collected by the transport company. The previous anonymous PIN procedure will be gradually replaced by a personalised, digital pick-up right. Its use has been mandatory for all companies involved in import processes since 1 October 2025.
